Introduction:-

 

Welcome friends old and new to the new William David website.

A lot has happened since the last time this site was online. I lost control of it for sometime due to a hacking /fraud issue. 

Now it's back on a new server and ready to go.

Until such a time as I can update everything some of the websites within my work are out of date.

I have recently relocated for personal reasons back to my home area in Bedfordshire. At the moment I am not sure how much if at all Leicester will play in my future work.

This means the studio has to move

 to - but this will take time. In the meantime i am looking at various options.

In most respects after a break everything is due to be updated, so please bare with me.

The new venture Pompous Hobbit will go live during 2014 - more about that later.

For those who have stumbled here and do not know William David - i am a photographer of the old school [trained 1979] using many old fashioned film techniques but with digital.

Digital has changed everything, the speed of image supply for one, and the instant viewing of images another.

Actwill, my key activity works with those often starting out infront of the camera, dealing with what the industry demand or how best to represent yourself. The male bias was by accident, but now I specialise in it.

The photo style for Pompous Hobbit is quite different - shot most often on location and with a "news" reportage style. This takes me back to my news days on the papers & mags / freelance work.

Hobbit has a very serious intent, and again that's best explained elsewhere.

However as a point arising I am constantly at the moment on the look out for youths to take part in the photoshoots to illustrate Hobbit or to discuss youth related matters. If your interested in getting involved either as a youth, a parent or youth working professional then please get in touch.

So here we are then a new year, a new website and lots to work on - welcome to the world of William David!!
